I have been active in the fitness industry for over 25 years as a manager, presenter, group exercise instructor, personal trainer and coach.
I taught my first "aerobics" class in 1983. My coaching career started as an athlete in elementary school.
I fine-tuned my skills as a Program Director and Personal Trainer with the YMCA. Cardiac rehabilitation, arthritis and joint replacement, hiv/AIDS, cancer, diabetes and brain injury were just some of the challenges facing my clients. I volunteered classes in Aquafit and Power Pacing and evaluated the PARE (Physical Aptitude Readiness Evaluation) for the RCMP as well as ran Boot Camp.
I continue my 20 year plus commitment to frontline involvement with hiv/AIDS service providers including BCPWA, Vancouver Friends For Life Society, and A Loving Spoonful offering my talents as Personal Trainer, Shiatsu Practitioner, Counsellor, Coach, Cheerleader, and even a friendly face on a hard day.
I started dropdeadhappy.com as an outlet to provide health, fitness and coaching support to those in financial and/or physical need and promote a dropdeadhappy attitude in the pursuit of individual goals and life. Coaching home based entrepreneurs grew from "On Our Way" clients venturing out on their own and taking full control of their lives.
I have (and had) a blast being:
the "health/fitness/life coach dude" for Outlook, a local cable LGTB what's up segment,
a proud member of glba
and check a few collaborations.
I work with people & their businesses
.......who are ready to be their best.
*by making more effective decisions, taking smarter actions, & demanding more of & for themselves at home, at work & in life...consistently. (with these, success is the only outcome)
CoachVille member and a founding member of IAC.
Know that a successful outcome is possible.
You only need a plan, time, faith and some elbow grease.
