The 2007 and 2008 theme for World AIDS Day is Leadership.
John Quincy Adams said, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” Each submission of this edition demonstrates leadership.
I am lucky to be a small part of Ron Hudson’s good work. I, too, was once told I probably wouldn’t make it. Instead, I followed the lead of those who came before me, fought side by side with those in my trenches and (luckily) came out the other end understanding the importance of leading an example for others to follow, now and for our collective future. I think I am most proud of the legacy of leadership hiv/AIDS has provided the world. With leadership, how can we not stop AIDS?
